Food and drinks: Do serve small snacks with drinks to help coat employees’ stomachs before the alcohol hits them.
Employee “appreciation” roast: Do share appreciation and recognize employees’ achievements, but keep it appropriate and avoid jokes that could be taken the wrong way.
Attendance: Do respect employees’ personal life and do not make it a requirement to attend.

Designated drivers: Do be proactive in assigning or hiring designated drivers to ensure all employees get home safely.
Complaints: Do make sure that everyone is as respectful at the party as they would be in the office.
