In an article in the Houston Chronicle, Ruth Mayhew of Demand Media writes that for small businesses HR can “add to the bottom line through cost-saving measures.”
Mayhew writes that with a dedicated HR representative “specifically trained to investigate complaints” and to act as a mediator, a company can maintain its regular routine. It can avoid disruption due to unresolved situations in the workplace.
This means money saved due to continued productivity. This also means that business leaders can continue to focus on what they’re best at and maintain their success.
The article also makes specific reference to outsourcing as well:

“the decision to outsource HR functions can increase revenue for small businesses through significant cost savings.”

These savings can extend from working with a PEO as well as from the money saved from employing a full-time HR expert. Further, savings arise when the outsourced HR professional offers expertise, often protecting the company from unnecessary losses.
