Title
Employee Relations Specialist II

Education

B.A. in Elementary Education, University of Idaho; B.A. in Human Resources Management, Western Governors University; Interior Design Certification, Heritage School of Design

Emma joined Xenium’s HR team in November of 2021 as an HR Generalist, and has since been promoted to an Employee Relations Specialist II.

She has a diverse resume in human resources and customer service, working in both the tech industry as well as in consumer lending for several large financial institutions.

Emma has earned two bachelor’s degrees – one in Elementary Education from the University of Idaho and one in Human Resources Management from Western Governors University. She also tapped into her creative side and decided to earn an Interior Design Certification from Heritage School of Design in Beaverton.

She is aligned with Xenium’s positive work environment and people-driven culture and was also drawn to Xenium’s strong emphasis on diversity & inclusion and professional development.

Emma was raised in northern Idaho in a small town of 650 people just outside of Moscow. She moved to southern California following her college graduation (needless to say, quite a culture shock) and stayed there for ten years before moving back to the Pacific Northwest. She landed in the Portland area, knowing that it would be a good balance between the peace and serenity of Idaho and the culture and diversity of California.

Emma is passionate about home design/decorating, as well as cooking, camping, hiking, boating, and attending live sporting or musical events. She loves spending time with her family, friends, and pets, and enjoys exploring her adventurous side through travel to new places.

Some of her favorite things … books or magazines on home design, watching documentaries about true crime or history on TV, trying new kinds of food (but her favorites are sushi and wood-fired pizza), and wine tasting. “Nothing like a good wine and food sampling!”
