Rod serves as the Senior Payroll Tax Analyst at Xenium, where he analyzes tax information, files taxes, and assists clients with tax-related inquiries. His extensive background in finance and accounting includes experience as an accounting manager at various Professional Employer Organizations (PEOs), where he managed tax filings and helped set up small employers for Administrative Services Only (ASO) and PEO services.
A Georgia native, Rod’s diverse experiences have shaped his career path. He served four years in the U.S. Army as a combat medic, including a year-long deployment in Iraq. Following his military service, Rod pursued higher education, earning a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Clayton State University and a master’s in finance from Georgia State University. He further enhanced his skills with a data analytics certificate from Georgia Tech, demonstrating his commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
Outside of work, Rod is a devoted family man with a wife and three boys. He enjoys traveling, exploring various cuisines, and reading finance-related books in his spare time. Rod’s rural upbringing on a small farm in Millen, GA, instilled in him a strong work ethic. He prides himself on being data-driven and possessing strong Excel skills, which complement his professional expertise in payroll tax analysis and financial management.
