Marine is on her second time around with Xenium, having taken a five-year hiatus to spend some quality at-home time with her son and daughter, now 5 and 2 years old. She originally started with Xenium back in 2010 as a Payroll Specialist II, then was promoted to Senior Payroll Specialist. After working in the Tualatin office for three years, she and her husband decided to move back to California, where she worked remotely for Xenium for another two years. Earlier this year, she reached out to Xenium, and before too long, we found a perfect spot for her as a Senior Payroll Specialist again! She is thrilled to be back with Xenium, since it’s the relationships with both her clients and coworkers that drew her back.
Marine is a California girl through and through. She grew up in Los Angeles, graduating from Cal State Northridge with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management. Her husband took a job in Oregon, so they spent three years in the Portland area before realizing that they really needed the California sunshine. After thoroughly researching their options, they landed in Silicon Valley, which they have called home for the last 7 years. Marine says it’s a great blend of Los Angeles and Oregon!
As you might have guessed, Marine loves spending time with her family. They stay very active – having already visited all the California zoos, with plans to branch out to zoos in other states. They also love to visit museums, as well as indoor/outdoor playgrounds, and when the weather doesn’t permit outdoor adventures, you can find Marine at home with her family, watching Disney movies, cooking and baking.
