Carol brings over 40 years of HR experience to her role as an Employee Relations Partner at Xenium. Her career began with 17 years at ADP, where she progressed from benefits to senior HR management while developing expertise across the full spectrum of human resources functions. Throughout her impressive career, Carol has primarily supported technology companies, including leadership positions at Intersolv, Digimarc, Yottamark, Janrain, Lytics, where she served as VP of People before retiring in 2024.
An Oregon native born in Roseburg but raised in Portland, Carol attended Portland Community College and Portland State University, majoring in business and HR management. She holds a Senior SHRM certification and has been certified as an advanced practitioner in the Hogan assessment. Her knowledge of the HR landscape is complemented by her relationships within the industry, including her previous experience as a client of Xenium, which ultimately led her to join the company part-time after retirement.
Beyond her professional life, Carol has been married to her husband Mark for 38 years and is the proud mother of two grown children and grandmother to two little girls. She enjoys traveling, cooking, reading, and golfing in her free time. A classical violin player in her youth, Carol now gravitates toward country music and has an impressive collection of cookbooks that reflects her passion for cooking. As a Pacific Northwest native, she particularly appreciates fresh seafood and farm-to-table restaurants.
