Toni joined Xenium as an HR Business Partner in July 2020 and now serves as a Senior Strategic HR Partner. She partners with leaders and organizations to provide strategic and hands-on HR support across the full employee lifecycle, including employee relations, compliance, coaching, training, workforce strategy, and policy development. Toni is known for her pragmatic, people-centered approach and her ability to guide leaders through complex and sensitive people decisions with clarity, confidence, and empathy.
Before joining Xenium, Toni built her HR career in fast-paced, high-growth environments, including early-stage and scaling organizations. Her experience includes building HR functions from the ground up, designing foundational people processes, and supporting organizations through rapid change and transformation. She has led the development and implementation of onboarding programs, policies, career frameworks, and scalable HR systems, often serving as the primary HR partner during critical growth phases. Toni has partnered with executive teams and people leaders across multiple regions, supporting workforces ranging from dozens to several hundred employees at a time, and brings a practical understanding of how to balance business needs with employee experience.
Toni earned her PHR certification in 2019 and brings a well-rounded HR foundation that spans employee relations, compliance, recruiting partnership, and payroll exposure, allowing her to approach people strategy holistically and realistically.
Originally from Lewiston, Idaho, Toni earned degrees in Sociology with a criminal emphasis and Psychology from the University of Idaho. During college, she studied abroad in Turin, Italy, where she developed a lasting appreciation for Italian culture and cuisine.
Outside of work, Toni enjoys traveling, exploring new countries, and experiencing Portland’s food scene. She channels her creative side through photography, vintage fashion, and painting, and is an avid fan of true crime books, podcasts, and documentaries. She is also passionate about volunteering with and supporting local animal rescues and enjoys giving back to organizations that support animals in need. Toni appreciates good music and movies, and values time spent with her husband and their home full of animals.
