Navigating Your Next Steps: Advancing Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

Have you gone through the process of discovering that diversity, equity and inclusion is more than a problem to be solved? That it is not a technical problem that you can fix but more a complex adaptive problem that requires out of the box thinking and approaches? That the outcomes and strategies that you envision today can change rapidly as you delve into the work and discover there were lots of things you didn’t know that you didn’t know? Or you may just be at a point of reassessing your journey!

We will explore:

• Assessing your current equity and inclusion journey, position and effectiveness, what has worked and not worked in the past.
• Identifying your equity and inclusion vision and outcomes and the gap between where you are and where you want to be.
• Identifying the range of possibilities for next steps and what fits with your style and culture and whether it is most useful to pick next steps inside of that, outside of that, or a mix.
• Developing strategies for supporting individual and organizational development – exploring behaviors that we can use within our organizations and in peer partnerships that support identifying strategic next steps that build our capacity and advance our progress on the journey towards our diversity, equity and inclusion aspirations.
